FOLIA ENTOMOLOGICA HUNGARICA ROVARTANI KÖZLEMÉNYEK XLÍI (XXXIV). 1. 1981 P- 155-162 Braconidae (Hymenoptera) from Tunisia, 2 * By J, PAPP (Received December 10, 1980) Abstract: Eleven species are reported from Tunisia of which 3 species are new to science: Chelonus obturbatus sp . n . o., Synaldis fraudulentuB sp . n . o. and Phaenocarpa meritcria sp. n. o_. With 22 figures. CHELONINAE Chelonus obturbatus sp. n. o_ (Figs. 10-12) o_. Body 5.5 mm long. Head in dorsal view (Fig. 11) transverse twice broader than long, eye almost twice as long as temple, occiput relatively weakly excavated. Temple in lateral view (Fig. 10) somewhat wider than eye. Ocelli (Fig. 11) small, distance between fore and hind ocelli dis­tinctly longer than diameter of fore ocellus, OOL slightly longer than POL, Head strongly rugose, clypeus finely and densely punctated, temple rather strlo-rugose. Antenna as long as head, thorax and anterior half of abdomen combined, with 26 joints, penultimate 3-4 joints 1.7-1.8 times as long as broad, flagellum distally attenuating. Thorax in lateral view 1.5 times longer than high, in dorsal view only one-fifth less broad between tegulae than head between eyes. Thorax strongly rugose similar with head, scutellum co­riaceous, anterior band of metanotum polished. Propodeum with a pair of lateral denticule. Hind femur thrice as long as broad at middle. Hind tarsus somewhat longer than hind tibia. Inner spur of hind tibia longer than outer spur, but shorter than half basitarsus. Fore wing distinctly shorter than body. Stigma and metacarp equal in length. r2 slightly longer than rl, r3 almost thrice as long as r2. Carapace in lateral view (Fig. 12) nearly as long as head and thorax together, 2,6 times as long as high at its posterior fourth, its ventral cavity ending at apex, i.e. distal end of carapace hardly incurving ventrally. Surface of carapace strongly rugose. Ovipositor sheath in lateral view as long as hind basitarsus. Head and thorax black; carapace three-coloured: basal-lateral spot white, dorsally black, laterally and apically widely red. Palpi blackish. Mandible black with reddish apex. Antenna black. Tegulae brownish black. Legs black with rich reddish yellow pattern. Coxae, trochanters, basal fourth of femora 1-2 black; femora 1-2 reddish yellow, femur 3 black with a reddish spot above at middle and reddish apically; tarsi blackish, basitarsi yellowish and gradually darkening distally.
