Distance between two tentorial pits thrice greater than distance between a tentorial pit and lowest point of eye. Mouth open. Mandible gradually broadening basally, without subtooth at its base. Width of eye and temple in lateral view equal with each other. Eye 1.7 times higher than wide. Ocelli small, round; distance between ocelli twice greater than diameter of an ocellus. POL:OOL as 8:10 (xlOO). Antenna longer than body, with 23 joints. First flagellar joint thrice longer than broad, further joints gradually shortening so that penultimate joint 2. 3 times longer than broad. Thorax in lateral view one-fifth times longer than high. Thorax polished, propodeum around lunule rugulose. Mesonotum without dorsal dimple before prescutellar furrow. Hind femur four times longer than wide, widest at its distal third (Fig. 29). Hind tibia slightly longer than tarsus. Fore wing almost one-third longer than body. Stigma (Fig. 28) seven times longer than wide. Cu2 long, r2 distinctly twice as long as cuqul (38:18, xlOO), r3 almost twice longer than r2 and reaching tip of wing. N. rec. postfurcal, distinctly shorter than d. B almost closed, emitting n. par. from its distal-lower side. Abdomen as long as thorax. First tergite (Fig. 30) 1.4 times longer than wide at hind, its two sides feebly broadening, ratio of its length to fore and hind width as 20:9:14 (xlOO). Two keels rather weak and reaching middle of tergite, surface of tergite smooth, shiny. Further tergites polished. Body black. Clypeus, labrum and mandible brownish yellow, palps straw yellow. Cheek brown. Scape below and pedicel brownish yeUow. Tegula yellow. Legs yellow, distal end of third tibia and all tarsi weakly fumous. Wings subhyaline, stigma and veins pellucid dark yellow. and host unknown. Locality: "Tunisia, Tozeur, 16. IV. 1977 - No. 117, leg. Mahunka", 1 é (holotype). Holotype is deposited in the Hungarian Natural History Museum, Budapest; Hym. Typ. No. 2822. O. tabificus sp. n. stands nearest to O. (A. ) staryi Fischer, 1958 (England, Czechoslovakia, Hungary), the distinction of the two species is tabulated below: O. tabificus sp, n. 1. First tergite 1.4 times longer than wide at hind end, feebly broadening behind (Fig. 30); its surface polished, between two keels anteriorly, i. e. the concave fore surface rather uneven to smooth, shiny. 2. Cu2 very long, r2 distinctly twice as long as cuqul (38:18, xlOO, Fig. 28). 3. Hind femur four times longer than wide at its distal third (Fig. 29). O. staryi Fi. 1. First tergite as long as wide at hind end, strongly broadening behind (Fig. 33); its surface rugose. 2. Cu2 less long, r2 usually 1.8 times as long as cuqul (Fig. 31). 3. Hind femur five times longer than wide at its middle or close to its middle (Fig. 32). In some respects O. tabificus sp. n. is related to O. (A. ) fuscipennis Wesmael, 1835 (Central and West Europe), however, they clearly differ from each other in the features ex J pounded: O. tabificus sp. n. 1. Body 1. 6 mm long. 2. Antenna with 23 joints. 3. Stigma seven times longer than wide (Fig. 28). 4. Clypeus four times wider than high. O. fuscipennis Wesm. 1. Body 2. 2-2. 4 mm long. 2. Antenna with 34-38 joints. 3. Stigma four, at most five, times longer than wide. 4. Clypeus three times wider than high.
