The single male specimen determined by I. KRAL as Ch. montenegrina Heik. (KRAL, 1973:126) I include in Ch. hortensis Geoffr. The aedeagus of this specimen is not quite parallel and in its general shape it is an intermediate form between Ch. hortensis and Ch. montenegrina, but the median furrow on underneath is well defined and as broad as the lateral parts, contrary to Ch. montenegrina , which has a median furrow about twice as broad as compared to the lateral parts. Chaetocnema sahlbergi Gyllenhal, 1827 and Ch. sinuata Weise, 1889 Both these forms have an identical structure of the aedeagus and differ practically only in size and partly in coloration of the upperside. A population from south Mongolia may have fulvous or black fore and middle femora whereas the typical Ch. sahlbergi always has black femora. I consider these forms to be only subspecies, which may be distinguished as follow : 1 (2) Upperside dark blue, violaceous, rarely greenish blue. Femora black, tibiae and tarsi reddish, often darkened. Middle and hind tibiae usually with rather low and blunt preapical tooth (variable feature). Length 1.8-2.4 mm. Europe, Caucasus, Siberia, eastwards to Dauria andYakutya, northern Mongolia (Zavchan, Archangaj and Central aimaks). ... ... . _ Ch. sahlbergi sahlbergi Gyll. 2 (1) Upperside dark green with bluish reflection to blue. Femora black or fore and middle femora fulvous, tibiae and tarsi fulvous. Middle and hind tibiae usually with rather large and acute preapical tooth. Length 2.2-3. 1 mm. Middle Asia, southern Mongolia (Chovd and Gobi Altai aimaks), China. _, , . . , „, . Ch. sahlbergi sinuata Weise I. KRAL (1973:126) determined all specimens with dark femora as Ch. sahlbergi Gyll. , and specimens with fulvous femora as Ch. sinuata Weise. Therefore, all his records of Ch. sahlbergi from Chovd aimak must be transferred to Ch. sahlbergi sinuata Weise. Ischyronota desertorum Gebler, 1833 I. mongolica Lopatin, nomen nudum, mentioned in his catalogue of Mongolian Chrysomehdae (1975:229), is a synonym of I. desertorum Gebler. I had a possibility to study the holotype of this undescribed species. Cassida mongolica Boheman, 1854 My record of C. fuscorufa Mötsch, from Archangaj aimak (MEDVEDEV et DUBESHKO, 1974) must be transferred to C. mongolica Boh. Cassida subreticulata Suffrian, 1844 C. hincksi L. Medvedev, 19 57 from Central aimak is a new synonym of this species. I have also at my disposal another specimen of this rare species from Bulgan aimak (20 km NE Seienge-Buren, leg. Yu. ZAITZEV). Cassida spaethi mandschukuvensis Spaeth, 1942 Very similar at C. spaethi Weise in general form and sculpture of elytra, especially in elytral impressions and strong punctures. Prothorax a little more narrow than elytra near
