broader than between eyes. Antenna 25 jointed. r2 1.5 times longer than cuqul (20:13, x63). Body black, legs rather brown, 2.1 mm long. - Distribution: recently described from France (Sevres). New to the fauna of Hungary. Locality: Pákozd, 1 (f. - IV. Opius (Pendopius) exilis Haliday, 1837 Extremely similar to O. (Opius) piceus Thorns., a species ranged in another subgenus, in Opius s. str. Actually, the two species are differentiated unambiguously by their subgeneric character, O. exilis : mouth open, O. piceus: mouth closed. It is characteristic for every species of Pendopius that their thorax is elongated, i.e. 1. 5-1.4 times as long as high (in lateral view), for the species of Opius s. str. a section is observable, some species as O. piceus has also an elongated thorax. Examined the three specimens taken in Bakony Mts. I could recognize further three differences between O. exilis and O. piceus : O. exilis Hal. O. piceus Thoms. 1. Face one-fourth wider than high. 1. Face quadratic, i.e. as wide as high. 2. r2 usually 1. 7 times as long as cuqul. 2. r2 usually 1. 5 times as long as cuqul. 3. First tergite moderately widening pos- 3. First tergite rather strongly widening teriorly. posteriorly. I have to emphasize that the above distinction was established on the basis of Hungarian representatives; in the case of a long series, presumably, these three differences became indistinct and, unambiguously, they are distinguished by their subgeneric feature only. I venture the supposition that even the examination of a long series, and, in other respect, the new ecological and ethological observations will infer the conclusion that the two taxa represent but two forms of the same species (?ecotypes). - Distribution: Europe (England, Denmark, Germany, Austria, Italy, USSR: Leningrad), a frequent species. New to the fauna of Hungary. Localities: Felsőörs, 1 o. Gyulafirátót, Kispapod, 2 <j> and 1 ő'. Hárskút, Esztergáli völgy, 1 é. Olaszfalu, Alsópere, 1 6. Ugod, Somberek, Hubertlak környéke, 2 o and 1 6. V, VII-VIII. Opius (Utetes) exsertus Thomson, 1895 Antenna 31 (1 6) and 32 jointed (1 o). n. rec, rather indistinctly postfurcal. Stigma wide, only three times longer than wide. First tergite one-fifth longer than broad at hind. Ovipositor sheath (in lateral view) long, as long as three-fourths of abdomen. - Distribution: sporadically in Sweden, Czechoslovakia and Greece. Localities: Alacsony Tátra (= Nízke Tatry, Slovakia), Breznó, Bystra, 500-700 m, 1 ç. Alacsony Tátra, Breznó, Zálomy, 600-700 m, 1 6. - VII. Opius (Nosopaeopius) flavigaster Fischer, 1957 Propodeum weakly rugulose to uneven. Radial vein ending far before tip of wing, r2 only one-third longer than cuqul. Antenna 23 jointed. Abdomen brownish yellow, tergites 2-4 yellow. - Distribution: Romania (Transylvania), a rare species. New to the fauna of Hungary. Locality: Bükk Mts. , Hosszúbérc (Répáshuta), 1 ál - VI. Remark. - FISCHER (1957b, p. 348-349) mistook the geographical place of "Mt. Meszes", the type locality of this species. Mt. Meszes falls the northwestern part of Transylvania, Romania, and not Hungary. Opius (Allophlebus) flavipes Szépligeti, 1898 Head (in dorsal view) slightly but distinctly broader between temples than between eyes. Temple (in lateral view) somewhat wider than horizontal diameter of eye. Antenna 24 jointed. First tergite slightly longer than wide at hind. - Distribution: since its description known only from Hungary in two localities. Locality: Gyula, Pósteleki erdő, ló". - VII-VIII. Remark. - Lectotype and paralectotype of this species deposited in the Hungarian Natural History Museum, Budapest; Hym. Typ. No, 595: p lectotype: "Budapest Szépligeti, 1897. VIII. 1" - Hym. Typ. No. 2431: 6 paralectotype: "Budapest Szépligeti, Rákospalota 1896. VIII. 15".
