(No. 175) Epidamaeus (Epidamaeus) flagelloides sp.n. Dimensions: Average ventral length of ten specimens 460 u (range 443-492 u); aver­age maximum notogastral width 287 u (range 279-289 u). Cerotegument: Tubercles of cerotegument mostly conical, often with globular apices; tubercles on setae and anterior region of notogaster more elongate, sub-filamentous. Prodorsum (Fig. 1A): Dorsosejugal (Da, Dp) and postbothridial (Ba, Bp) enantio­physes present; tubercle Ba or Bp may be unilaterally absent or poorly defined. Setae le, ro finely attenuate, smooth; ex attenuate, with inconspicuous barbs; il relatively long, flagel­late, with distinct barbs. Sensillus (_ss) flagellate, smooth; cerotegument on middle third, little or none on proximal and distal thirds. Notogaster: Slightly ovate viewed perpendicular to circumgastric suture; about 1. 2 times longer than broad. Spinae adnatae of moderate size, acute or somewhat rounded dis­tally. Except £S row, notogastral setae smooth, gradually tapered, with fine rounded tips, radially directed and slightly curved. Setae ps^ very long, flagellate, curving anterodorsad; pS 2 and pjg much smaller, finely attenuate. Nymphal exuviae not carried by adults. Ventral regions (Fig. IB): Tubercle E2a poorly developed or absent; E2p, Va and Vp usually well developed. Tubercles Sa, Sp short, the latter more rounded than the former. Epimeral setation 3-1-3-3 or 3-1-3-4; setae smooth, J3b and ^c both inserted on tubercle Vp. One specimen with two setae on epimere II. Discidium (di) broadly rounded. Anogenital re­gion typical of family.
