in Neojordansia, while in Proctolaelaps at least one transverse line, namely Qg and/or Q7, Q3, extending transversally on both sides of hypostome. 3. The posterior fusion of peritremal shield with exopodal shield in Neojordansia species is not clear as seen in both of Neojordansia (Neojordansia) levis Oudemans et Voigts and N. (Chantesia) asetosa subgen. et sp. n. A Fig. 1: Female of Neojordensia (Chantesia) asetosa subgen. et sp. n. A: Dorsal view, B: Tectum, C: Chelicerae According to the above mentioned characters it is reasonable to consider Neojor densia as a separate genus and that coincides with the openion of both CHANT (1963) and KARG (1971), who considered it as a genus. In examining the present material of Neojordensid species, it is obvious that they have some morphological differences waranting subgeneric separation, so I propose to present the following identification key distinguishing three subgenera; Neojordensia s. str., Evansia subgen. n. and Chantesia subgen. n.
