CHELISOCHIDAE BURR, 1907 Chelisochellinae Steinmann, 1974 Chelisochella superba (Dohrn, 1865) Stett. Ent. Zeit., 26: 71 Holotype male. Last tergite wide and long, posterior margin typical; visibly elongated in longitudinal axis' of cerci, divided into lateral and median fields, median field concave. Pygidium weU visible in superior view, largely rounded, posterior margin ornamented by one lateral peg each. Cerci strong, elongately ensiform (Fig. 25), beyond a straight section arcuately attenuating in Holotype. Inner margins of cerci characteristic aUy dentate (Fig. 25). Penis elongate (Fig. 26). Paramere with unpaired genital lobe rather ellipsoid. Genital lobe medium long, at rest slightly projecting beyond metaparameres in median line. Metaparameres long, after a relatively wide basal section visibly attenuating, then apically strikingly attenuating and (in the Lectoparatype) terminating in a strongly and strikingly exclinate acicular apex. Virga long and thin, basaly with a recurving sclerotized sack (characteristic to the species of the family) and a long, narrow plate. - Malacca, Holotypus (gen. prep. No. 351, det. Dr.H. Steinmann). Last female tergite slightly widened towards posterior margin, its dorsal surface with characteristic and striking paired protuberances near posterior margin. Pygidium slightly more elongate than that of male, median section of plate with a slightly elongate but apically rounded section. Cerci more elongate, largely straight (Fig. 27), only their attenuated apices slightly inclinate. Dentition of inner margins resembling that of male, but margin lamellately excavated. - Malacca, Lectoparatypus (1 ex); Sumatra, Soekaranda, coll. Dohrn (6 ex); Borneo, Sarawak, 1865, coll.
