It l8 worth mentioning that P. suspectana - as well as P. argyrana - is regarded by DANILEVSKII and KUZNETZOV (1968) (and the latter species by HANNEMANN 1961, too) as univoltine, while in Hungary, we observed two swarm occurrences (the first in May, the second in July - August in sexual attractant traps. In the identification of Pammene and Grapholitha species I used DANILEVSKI and KUZNETZOV's work on the Laspeyresiini of the USSR (DANILEVSKII and KUZNETZOV 1968), but in the case of the group P. argyrana, I took WOLFF's paper (1968) as the basis. In this paper, N.L. WOLFF described synonyms of five Pammene species (P. argyrana, P. albugi nana , P. galRcolana, P. suspectana, P. amygdalana) , settled the nomenclatorial status of P. albuginana Gn. and P. gaRlcolana Lienig-Z. , and the authorship of the latter species and of P. suspectan a Lienig-Z. Fig. 3: Male genitaRa of Pammene suspectana Lienig-Z. - Fig. 4: Male genitaRa of Cnephasia alternella Steph. The majority of the authors (GOZMÁNY 1967, HANNEMANN 1961, DANILEVSKII and KUZNETZOV 1968, OBRAZTSOV 1960) regard P. galRcolana as a synonym of albuginana. On the other hand, WOLFF states that P. albuginana, sensu OBRAZTSOV 1960 and sensu HANNEMANN 1961 p. 8. fig. 11, does not agree with specimens of P. albuginana Gn. from
