The new species is devoted to the memory of Dr. G. Horváth, well known Hungarian homopterologist. Both newly described species of the genus Zyginella Low are closely related to Z. pi eta (Mel.) which is known from Ceylon. Zyginella horvathi sp.n. differs from that species by dark face and pronotum, smaller dark patch inside 3rd apical cell and quite other dark pattern on fore wing (see Figs. 119 for comparison). Zyginella melichari sp.n. is easily distinguishable from Z. picta (Mel.) after dark tip of scutellum, two big blackish patches on clavus, small dark patch inside 3rd apical cell In fore wing and other details of colouring pattern.
