Inner margin, hind angle of clavus and proximal half costal margin of fore wing bordered with blackish (Fig. 5). Remaining part of costal margin and a patch on wax-field (expanded toward base of wing), dark brown. Streak at longitudinal m vein and the other one on clavus as well as a part of cu cell, brownish. Tip part of fore wing smoked grey, darker at hind margin, almost whitish at costal margin. Large longitudinal areas on clavus and at longitudinal cu vein, ochre-yellow. Male genital apparatus resembles that of Shaddai typicus Dist. but apex of penis narrow and pointed (Fig. 4) and apical part of paramere broader (Fig. 6) and terminated on a narrow blunt process. Lengthc54. 3 mm. Holotype male, Prov. Lao-cal, Sa-pa, 1650 m., grassy place, at light, Sep. 23, 1963. coll. T. P 6c s. The new species is devoted to memory of the prominent English hemipterologist W.L. Distant. S o o r a 1 a gen.n. Type-species: Sobrala tmava sp.n. Body very slim. Head slightly narrower than pronotum (Fig. 11) Pronotum long. Face long and narrow (Fig. 15) almost straight in profile (Fig. 14). Anteclypeus small. Fore wing venation (Fig. 16) resembles that of Abrabra Dwor. but apical cells longer and narrower and longitudinal cu and m cells of almost equal breadt. Claval vein visible. Hind wing narrow (Fig. 17). The venation resembling that of Orlentalebra Dwor. but subcostal vein not visible at apex. Wing membrane infuscated, longitudinal veins dark. Genital capsule cylindrical (Fig. 8). Pygophore side much longer than subgenital plate. Anal tube very short, partly membraneous. Paramere much protruding beyond subgenital plate. Pygophore side (Fig. 19) covered with sculpture of minute teeth at upper margin and provided with sclerotized extension at hind lower angle. Pygophore side setosity consists of a couple of short, rigid pointed miscrosetae at hind margin and several gracile microsetae scattered at lower margin. Subgenital plate short, broad, lobate (Fig. 9) only slightly infuscated at outer margin. The setosity restriced to a few small rigid pointed setae situated at apex and several very small gracile microsetae at the centre of plate. Connective (Fig. 10) quite delicate, partly slerotized, biarmate. (The figure shows this structure being slightly broken). Paramere (Fig. 6) very solid, well sclerotized, ornamented with sculpture on big apical part and provided with sensory pits situated subapically. Penis (Figs. 12,13) tubular; gonopore subapical: praeatrlum small. Abdominal apodemes (Fig. 18) very well developed. Sobrala tmava sp.n. (Figs. 8-20) Vertex brown at eyes, brownish-testaceous at coronal suture and atblackish apical patch (Fig. 11). Pronotum brown. Sides (partly) and hind part of scutum and anterior part of scutellum, yellowish. Basal triangles and area between them brown. Centre and hind part of scutellum blackish. Eyes blackish-brown. Genae and small areas above antennae whitish. Areas at ocelli, that at big central patch and a streak in the midline of frontoclypeus, light testaceous. Antennae light, slightly Infuscated. Ocelli testaceous-grey. Sides and lower part of frontoclypeus brownish, transverse striation not distinct (Fig. 15). Anteclypeus and lorae testaceous-brown. Fore wing infuscated, hardly semitransparent. At longitudinal cu.vein and at hind margin of clavus indistinct ochre-brownish streaks. Parts of m and cu cells, apical cells and the appendix, grey (marked with dots In Fig. 16). Wax-field, a small patch at apex of clavus, terminal part of costal margin, peripheric vein and parts of apical veins, dark brown. Apical veins slightly ochre. Penis stem (Figs. 12,13) thin with short pointed apex. Pygophore side (Fig. 19) provided with a short extension covered with numerous low and blunt teeth. Paramere (Fig. 20) terminated on broadened lamella with curved pointed apex. Surface of the apical part of paramere covered with sculpture of minute teeth. Abdominal apodemes (Fig. 18) reaching end of 4th abdominal tergite. Length â 4.0 and 4.3 mm. Holotype male, Prov. Lao-cai, Sa-pa, 1650 m., grassy place, at light, S;p. 22. Paratypec?, same locality as the holotype, Sep. 23. Both collected by T. P 6c s in 1963. (ISEZ).
