Considerably smaller than limbatus. patterns conspicuously richer and the black dorsal stripes conspicuously wider. 3. Nabis sinoferus sinoferus HSIAO, 1964, 5th instar larva. Rather similar to Nabis ferus. Colouring similar to ferus specimens of light colouring. Sinoferus larvae somewhat wider but conspicuously longer than ferus larvae but its head slightly narrower, compound eyes conspicuously smaller and less protruding. Smallest distance between compound eyes (sinoferus: 0 f 43 mm; ferus: 0,39 mm) and its ratio to head-width (sinoferus: 56: 100; ferus: 48:100) greater than on ferus larvae. Ratio of antennái- joints 100:158:158:111. Same ratio on ferus larvae 100: 178:178:132. First antennái joint longer than that of fe_rus(sinoferus: 0,82 mm; ferus: 0,69 mm). Sinoferus larvae can well be distinguished from ferus by their smaller and less protruding compound eyes, by the strikingly different ratio of antennái-joints and that of the head-width compared with the smallest distance between the compound eyes, by the longer first antennái-joint and by the longer body. 4. Nabis feroides mimoferus HSIAO, 1964, 5th instar larva.Shape and colouring similar to that of the type subspecies. Light coloured specimens less frequent and dark coloured ones, more common than in European populations. Transversal stripes in inner surface of fore femora more definite than in feroides fero ides. Larvae somewhat smaller (5,07 mm) than European subspecies (5,27 mm). Ratio of antennái-joint s in feroides mimoferus 100 : 186 : I83 : 120, while in feroides feroides the same 100: 168 : 157 : HO, Ratio of length of antennái-joints 84 : 157 : 154 : 101 as compared with length of first antennái-joint in feroides feroides. The above ratio figures clearly show that the first antennaljoint of feroides mimoferus in strikingly shorter than that of feroides feroides and the remaining joints are also somewhat shorter. There were no other distinguishing character to be found between subspecies mimoferus and the type subspecies.
