resulting in an extremely large insect collection. This material offers a good "basis for conclusion concerning the frequency of species and for studying the distribution of nabids in Mongolia. Nabis feroides mimoferus is the commonest and most largely distributed nabid in Mongolia. This species can be found in practically all parts of Mongolia but is most frequent in the central parts of the northern regions (Pig.l). Its occurrence seems to be less frequent in the ranges of the high mountains and in all probability, sporadic in the Gobi. This taxon seems to be of Siberian origin; it is most frequent in those region which are in close geographical connection with Siberia. It may have found its way to Mongolia from Central Siberia and may have reached Manchuria through Mongolia. Kalmanius flavomarginatus and Dolichonabis nigrovittatus occur in the northern part of Mongolia. These are frequent southwards to the Gobi and westwards to the ranges of the Mongolian Altai. In the East the western region in the Cojbalsan aimak may be regarded as the border of their range (Eig. 2). On lower altitudes Kalmanius flavomarginatus appears only sporadically, on the other hand, Dolichonabis nigrovittatus is more frequent in these regions (Eig. 2). The two mentioned species are the most frequent nabids next to Nabis feroides mimoferus within their range in Mongolia. They inhabit the northern parts of Mongolia and are most frequent in regions closely connected with Siberia. They may have occupied their Mongolian areas on their way from Siberia. In Mongolia the rest of the nabids are much less frequent than the above three species. Nabis ferus occurs in the northern, western and south-western parts of the country. In the Gobi, the Gobi-Altai and in the eastern parts of the country, however, it seems to be absent (Fig.3). This species is of Eurosiberian distribution and, thus,
