28 (27) Legs entirely black with yellow colouring on the coxae and trochanters only. Two sides of ovipositor with alight conicaloincline and with a small impres­sion in the middle (Pig. 27). The arch at the end of ovipositor flatter than with striolatum. '.Vings slightly brownish-yellow, sometimes highly fumous. Pterostigma lighter- or darker-yellow, perchance slightly brownish. Colour of body lighter- or darker orange-red, the lateral side of thorax yellow on young specimens and orange-red on old ones. Black spots on both sides near the hind-angles of dorsal surface of abdomen. 32-38 mm. depressiusculum (SELYS ) 29 (26) End of ovipositor without excise or sweep, it is tapering off and is not evenly arched (Pig. 235. (Attention must be paid to the deformed young units of depressiusculum whose ovipositor, too, may de­form, i.e. the inclining sides of its end (Fig.27). may get impressed inwardly. In the case of these specimens the end of ovipositor seems to be trun­cated (Pig. 28) which is never the case with the following species.) 30 (31) The black middle-bands of the lateral sides of tho­rax run up to the base of the wings.
