The Scientific Results of the Hungarian Soil Zoological Expedition to the Brazzaville - Congo A Report on the Collectings by Or. J. Balogh, Dr. S. Endrődy-Younga, Dr. A. Zicsi, Budapest A Hungarian zoological expedition worked in the terri­tory of Brazzaville-Congo from 16 October, 1963 till 21 Jan­uary, 1964- Several organisations called the expedition into being. The UNESCO had actively participated in its prepara­tion, sponsoring it both financially (in part) and authori­tatively. Valuable support was given by the „Office de la Recherche Scientifique et Technique Outre-Mer, Paris and Brazzaville (in the followings , ORSTOM), by various facili­ties (lodgings for the HQ of the expedition in Brazzaville, the supplementary scientific and camping equipment as well as a car and escort during the journey). The effective work of the expedition was greatly aided also by the „Institute de Recherches pour les Huiles et Oléagineux" (in the follow­ings , IRHO) at its plantation in Sibiti, and the „Service de l 'Agriculture ,Stat ion Agronomique" (in the followings,SAGRO ) at its settlement in Loud ima. The Hungarian Academy of Sciences made two zoologists available for three months, end financed their scientific equipment. And the Hungarian Ministry of Culture delegated an entomologist of the Natural History Museum, to participate in the expedition. The staff of the expedition consisted of Dr. J. BALOGH the leader of the Soil Zoological Research Team of the Hung­arian Academy of Sciences, leader of the Expedition; Dr. A. ZICSI, soil zoologist, a member of the above Team; and Dr.
