Az ökológiai vizsgálatok során beigazolódott, hogy a lápok, értéri rétek és homokpusztaságok Saltatorla-faunaja egymástól ugyan eltérő,de éles határral nem különülnek el, hanem a növénytakaró közvetítésével átmennek egymásba. Ugyanehhez az eredményhez jutunk a faunaelemzés során is. On the Orthoptera Fauna of the Kis-Alföld (Orthoptera — Saltatoria) By M. P. Aradi, Budapest Author collected 41 Saltatorla species during his two years of collectings in the Kis-Alföld. At the present date, we recognize 49 species from this area, taking into account also literature data. He established the fact that the majority of the Saltatoria collected are also to be found in the corresponding biotops of the Nagy-Alföld /the Great Plains/. There are no mountaindwelling species in the Kis-Alföld, but of the species characteristical of the hills and meadows of the Central mountains of the Carpathians »Basin Stenobothrus lineatus

Pholldoptera fallax and Metrlo ptera^ bicolor can also be found in the territory of the Hanság.On the ground of the presence of these species, the Hanság may be regarded as one of the areas remaining in a more ancient condition in the Kis-Alföld. During author's oecological investigations it had been found that, whilst the Saltatoria faunas of the swamps, inundated meadows and sandy wastes differ amongst themselves, they are not separated by sharp lines but overlap by the transition of the respective floras.
