30 ISTVÁN VÖRÖS SACRUM (Inv. nr.: 59.12.3., Fig. 3.1) Vertebrae sacrales I-V.+ pseudosacrale (= I s t vert, caudales). The sacral bone is relatively long (280 mm) and narrow. The greatest cranial breadth is 250 mm; the cranial articular surface is 83 mm. The proc. spinoses of the sacral vertebrae are ossified together with thick masses of bone. The facies pelvina is slightly concave. The thin corpuses of the 3 r d and the 4 l h vertebrae are broken. The dimensions are listed in Table 2. 1 S T VERTEBRA CAUDALIS The maximal length of the vertebra, ossified to the sacrum, is 63 mm; its breadth is 102 mm, height 58 mm. The length of the vertebral column (v. thorac. + lumb. + sacrum + l s l caud.) of the aurochs from Egervár is 1600 mm. Nr. corpus arch caput vert.* vert. caud. proc. spinosus proc. transv.
