The end of the rigth side hinder leg (t-mt-ph bones) was found in front of the trunk in the same line as the head, though at a higher level (at cca. 100/110 cm). The leg (mt) was found to the W in a nearly horizontal position, the foot (phs) was found as bending forward and downward. The right side foreleg of the horse (c—mc—ph bones) was in the infilling of "pit" A/I., though still over the skeleton. The right side tibia of the horse was found in the infilling of trench 3 (fossa) of section A/TV. (1978) The left side foreleg (mc ph-bones) of the horse was found in the S section of the fossa, to the E of the entrance within the find assemblage Nr. 1. (trench A/3, 1979. 1.). Directly beside the skeleton of the horse, to the S, SW and W of it, either at the same level or at a higher one, stones, Roman tegula fragments, pig and human bones came to ligth. The bone remains of the horse foetus were found only when the skeleton of the adult horse was unearthed and picked up. Bone remains 127 pieces (Inv. Nos. 82.7. 1-2., 83.2.24-42). The skull (Fig. 3. 1-2., Fig. 4.) is long, narrow with a thin wall. The low neuro­cranium is small, flat, laterally protruding. The wide-flat occipital region is low, bending upwards. The profile of the calvaria part is waued, the top of the head is slightly convex, the frontal part is deeply concave, the ridge of the nose outstands in its lower third part. The linea aspera is only slightly protruding. It ends behind the L. sutura. The wide orbits are rounded, the zygomatic is low. The linea face is strongly developed. The short, narrow nose ridge is high; the praemaxilla, too, is short. The alveolar part of the maxilla is low, the palate is flat. The mandible (Fig. 1. 3., Fig. 4.). is long, the corpus is high, thin. The lower edge is slightly arched, the inc. vasorum is deep. The angle of the mandible is narrow, the ram. mandibulae is growing narrow upwards. The dimensions of the skull and mandible are on Table 1.
