At the same time it is characteristic of the whole area in question that material and spiritual cultures of ethnic groups recently originated - or, more exactly, recognized by recent research as such ones (the Doln)' Peter group, 1" the Szeremle group, 1 7 Bodrogszerdahely group 1 8) - had undergone a change, at places to a different measure. These peoples are, in fact, homogeneous only in regard of their metal artefacts as we find, to a certain measure, the same bronze implements, weapons and jewels known from Koszider type hoards, in all settle­ments and cemeteries of the period. This encourages us to propose the termino­logy "Koszider period" for the final stage of our Middle Bronze Age, embracing l e Tocik , A., Befestigte bronzezeitliche Ansiedlung in Vesele.
