WEAPONS ON BRONZE AGE POTTERY 13 - probably standing for a shoulder strap. The hilt is decorated on its upper and lower part with three dots each, indicating presumedly the rivets. The dark grey, rough-surfaced ware differs in material from the above ones. 5 PÁKOZD-VÁR Pottery fragment with the representation of a hatchet (Fig. 7). The extensive, tri­partite hilltop settlement of the Vatya culture was excavated between 1925 and 1927 by Arnold Marosi. Among the finds, partly published, there is a lateral fragment of a larger pot, decorated with a plastic hatchet with tubular socket. The sherd belongs to the unstratified finds." 5 Cf.
