Tibor Kovács: Eastern Connections of North-Eastern Hungary in the Late Bronze Age

36 T. KOVÁCS Jósa the vessels were placed in groups. There was a larger vessel always in the middle of the group, and the smaller vessels were around it. These latter contained only earth with the exception of one vessel in which a burned bronze pin was among the bones.'0 The finds from Borzsova-puszta were undoubtedly the grave-goods of an urn cemetery. There are no records in regard to the size of the cemetery and the existing material do not permit any suggestion. On the one hand we do not know how many vessels were generally in one grave and on the other hand many of the vessels were carried away. According to Jósa the larger urns could not be successfully removed from the earth. — 1.
