Eredményeink alapján elmondhatjuk, hogy a MMA mint foglalkozási allergen is számításba jöhet, ezért ezzel az anyaggal és közvetlen származékaikkal dolgozva fokozottan fontos a munka-egészségügyi előírások megtartása és megtartattatása.

Between 1989-1995 six dental technicians who had developed occupational allergic contact dermatitis from working with dental acrylates were tested. All patients had positive patch test reaction to methyl metacrylate (MMA) and to acrylates used most widely in their work.

According to our results, dental personnel working with acrylates may face a higher risk of sensitization. To prevent occupational allergic contact dermatitis we suggest, that a strict adherence to labour health regulations and dental technician candidates during the entry examinates should be explored for the presence of any kind of allergy.
