8. oldal 1993. április --------February at Bethesda The beautiful month of February began with a successful yard and bake sale due to the generous assistance of the Bethesda Church Ladies Aid and our “Public Rela­tions” resident Marguerite Jones. Mrs. February 14 — After a special Valentine Day dinner, Alex and Irene Kecso enter­tained our guests and visitors with a plea­sant blend of old-time sentimental songs and hymns of God’s love gift, His Son Je­Participants of the midyear meeting at the hall of the Bethesda Home Jones has worked year-round behind the scenes in making dozens of saleable items. We were delightfully surprised with the abundant contributions from residents and their families. From former residents, Bethesda was gifted with furniture, cloth­ing and accessories. The usable items helped replace worn furnishings in and around the complex. The remaining col­lection helped provide a good selection for bargain-hunters. sus Christ. To crown the afternoon activi­ties, a surprise birthday gathering was held in honor of Ernest Cziraky. The de­lectable red and white decorated cake was enjoyed by all — it was the largest birthday party in his course of living. Sincere thanks to all well-wishers. The mid-year Mission/Literary and Home/ Finance boards met on February 19-21. Those in attendance were: Mr. and Mrs. Ernest Kish, Rev. Meg­sebez, mielőtt bekötözne, mert csak így tud teljes munkát végezni benned. A tör­vény az evangélium előtt jár, a szükség a beteljesülés előtt. A Szentlélek meggyőző és megtörő ereje próbál meg? Vagy éppen újra a félelem szolgaságába kerültél? Mindez csak előkészület arra, hogy köze­ledhessen hozzád a gyógyító, bekötöző Evangélium, és teljesen rendbe hozzon. Ne ess kétségbe, hanem közeledj az Úr­hoz felszakadt sebeddel, fájdalmaiddal! Egyedül Ő tud meggyógyítani, és ő örül, ha megteheti ezt. Urunk azért jött, hogy a megtört szíveket meggyógyítsa, és Ő való­ban ért ehhez. Ne tétovázz, hanem siess Őhozzá, mutasd meg neki tátongó sebei­det, és kérd, hogy vegyen kezelésbe, és vi­gye véghez benned is a munkáját. Melyik sebész metszi fel betege testét és azután hagyja elvérezni? Vajon növelte-e az Úr valaha is fölöslegesen egy szegény gyötrő­dő lélek kínjait? Ilyet Ő nem tesz soha! Szeretettel kérjük gyülekezeteinket, hogy húsvét napján gondoljanak szövetsé­günk közös missziójára. Anyagi támogatásukat is küldjék el szö­vetségi pénztárosunknak — ha lehet, még e hónapban, hogy az április végén záródó pénztári év missziós célkitűzéseit megvaló­síthassuk. (Missz. Biz.) Bela Mike (Romania), Rev. Bela Zeffer (Ohio). Greatly missed were Dr. and Mrs. Sán­dor Haraszti, Dr. Leland Haraszti, Mr. Lewis Nemeth, Mr. Imre Sipos, Rev. Jo­seph Novak, Mr. László Halasz, Mr. George Gancsos and others whose regular attendance is an integral part of this Hun­garian ministry. We wish to thank the hosts and hostesses for their hospitality in opening their homes to those special guests. Each of these people brought with them a vision to promote the many minis­tries directed by the Holy Spirit. We de­sire eagerly your prayers on their behalf that all may see the reality of answered prayer. Your letters are most welcome.
