Dr. Mészáros Kálmán, Kish Ernő és Novák József testvérek Kish Ernő és Mészáros Kálmán lp. a budapesti BTA kápolnájában. a székesfehérvári gyülekezetben. Európai utunk során alkalmunk volt meglátogatni a Magyarországi Baptista Teológiai Akadémiát is Budapesten. Dr. Mészáros Kálmán testvér, az intézet dékánja mutatta meg az új épület-komplexumot. A 25 diákkal is találkoztam, akiket imádkozásra buzdíthattam a déli áhítat alkalmával. Bár az építkezés még nem fejeződött be, a magyarországi testvériség és a diákok áldozatos munkájának az eredményei hálára késztettek minket. Az építkezés két részből áll. Az első, az új épület már elkészült. Jelenleg az IBLA használja. A második, a régi szeminárium felújítása most Munkálkodj csak — biztosan meg lesz az öröme. Goethe van folyamatban. Mi, innen a távolból anyagi segítségnyújtással és imával támogathatjuk a munkát. Novák József testvérrel is találkoztunk a Szemináriumban, aki éppen előadást tartott a diákoknak. Október végén Magyarország szerte virágokkal díszítettek a temetőkertek. Gyertyák ezreit gyújtják sötétedéskor. Mi a nevezetes “301-es” parcellát látogattuk meg, ahova az 1956-os forradalom hőseit, és az azután kivégzetteket temették el. Névtelen sírok százait találtuk, az elmúlt évtizedek igazságtalanságainak a hagyatékaként. A szabadság emberi jog itt Amerikában. Az árára emlékeztetett az, amit láttam. Neidlinger All the world joined in singing and talking about this special time of the year, celebrating the birthday of our King, Lord of lords, The Prince of Peace. Beginning with December 1st, a scripture was read in connection with the Advent season thoughts of the day. Many of our local organizations, churches and individuals, came to share the wonderful message in song (church choirs, high school choir, cub scouts, pre-school children, girl scouts) and just one-on-one visits with those who needed a time to share out of their memory books. It was a warm time to reach out and hug a number of extra people each day; also, a great time to share of the many blessings of God as He meets the needs of each individuals day-in and day-out. Because many of you remembered The Home during this special time, our residents without family or friends received needful gifts. The love of many local volunteers covered abundantly those who would otherwise experience an unhappy holiday season. The special music, flowers, candy, clothing to our dwellers brightened their lives. These extras will long be remembered and we received many, many thanks — which we pass on to you. As in years past, each resident had a stocking hanging on their door filled with personal gifts, an orange and other goodies to enjoy. Christmas Eve, The Bethesda Baptist Chapel folks joined our residents and their families for a Vesper Service. A program of special music and a devotional by Mrs. Michael Matrai were received warmly. The residents had been practicing a new Christmas carol entitled “Come on, Ring Those Bells” and after they finished their portion, the entire audience was asked to join in. Others participating were: The Bethesda Church Choir led by Mr. Ernest Kish; Dr. Louis Kali; and Pastor Barton Brown proclaimed the benediction. Homemade refreshments were
