6. oldal EVANGÉLIUMI HÍRNÖK 1977. január 1. végezte dr. Udvarnoki Béla testvérünk igazgatósága idejében. A 2. világháború után mint misszionárius és lelkipásztor dolgozott Jugoszláviában. Két gyülekezetét alapított a magyar történelemből is jól ismert Sisak és Fiume városokban. Pásztorrolta a zágrábi gyülekezetei, majd Daruvár székhellyel vezette az ottani testvériséget és a hozzátartozó öt körzeti közösséget. Az 1954-ben alapított újvidéki Baptista Teológiai Szeminárium tanára, majd 1973 — 1975-ig igazgatója. Kétszer volt a Jugoszláviai Baptista Szövetség titkára. Arra a kérdésre, hogy miért hagyta el ezt a szép, vezetői munkát, Klemm testvér szerényen válaszolt: Belefáradtam vezetőnek lenni. Életem végén újból misszionárius és igehirdető kívánok lenni, ami egyedüli feladatom és amire tulajdonképpen az Úr hívott el. Például szolgálhatna ez azoknak, akik magukat “hívták” el vezetőnek. vf northern sector of our country and Canada has caused an earlier exodus out of the cold into warm and sunny Florida, although our weather was also affected by the northern temperatures. Our crop of avocados, navel oranges, grapefruit and tangerines are beginning to ripen. This means that all of our salads will be garnished with home grown avocados. We will once again have fresh orange juice each morning, and we will be able to serve fresh fruit salad more often. Our Home residents are permitted to pick fruit from our trees for their own consumption. It is a joy to watch them pick a fresh orange for a mid afternoon snack. God has blessed us abundantly with fresh fruit, and we hope that years from now others will be able to enjoy the fruit from the trees which we are now planting. November was also the month that we counted the blessings which God has provided for us. All America celebrated Thanksgiving Day in family style and Bethesda was no different. We prepared for our loved ones the traditional turkey with all of the trimmings. We also invited many of our friends and neighbors to share Thanksgiving Day with us. It was a delight to see so many of our loved ones sit around a well stocked table, eat the fine food which was prepared for them, and then sing “Praise God from Whom all blessings flow.” For all of these joys we can only say “To God be the Glory.” During the course of the month we had some rather sick residents whom we had to transfer to the hospital and then to a nursing home. Mr. John Kautz (N.Y.C.) was transferred first to the hospital and then to a nursing home. Tess Cohn also went through the same experience. We will miss both of these loved ones, since they were loved and respected by all of our residents. Ethel Risdorfel (Homestead) is also very ill and in a hospital. Presently she is bedridden and very weak. Won’t you join us in prayers for the well being of these loved ones. They rely upon us for spiritual support. All efforts are being made to ready our periphery buildings for the tourist season. This work is now going on and hopefully everything SAO PAULO V:.;A; : SHDK ® ^ Á ÉHÉHÉI Örömmel és Isten iránt való hálával közöljük az Evangéliumi Hírnök olvasóival, hogy az Úr igen nagy áldásban és örömben részesítette gyülekezetünket október 23-án, amikor 18 megtért egyént merítettünk be hitüknek vallomására. Négyen (4) közülük az anyagyülekezetből valók, egy (1) a második misszió-pontról és tizenhárom (13) az első misszió-pontról. A legfiatalabb 11 éves és a legidősebb 18. Tehát mindnyájan ifjak, akik nem csak lelkűket adták át a Megváltónak, hanem egy egész életet is néki szenteltek. WTmSßmW_ Imaházunk teljesen megtelt ez alkalommal és gyülekezetünk ének- és zenekarai is közreműködtek áldásosán. Az alámerítési szertartást David Klava tv., a lapai Első Baptista Gyülekezet pásztora végezte. (A gyülekezet pásztorának egészsége nem engedte meg, hogy ő végezze.) Itt mellékelek egy fényképet is, amely azon alkalommal készült. Kívánjuk, hogy az Úr tartsa meg őket, hogy növekedhessenek erős oszlopokká az ő gyülekezetében. Nagy István NOVEMBER AT BETHESDA Every month at Bethesda is significant. November therefore was no exception. Much of our outside work is delayed until the cooler months when our employees can more readily finish these jobs in greater comfort. In November, our first tourists arrived for the winter months. The unusually cold weather in the
