Omnis creatura significans Glory of Adam, which, in turn, is also the subject of such Silentia like the one that has come down to us from the pen of Michael Psellus, in the name of Constantine IX or X, and of Michael VII, roughly con- temporaiy to the corona graeca. These sermons testify to the role of the emperor as a new Adam, gardener of a new Eden, leading the newly chosen people of God to the glory of which his office is the prefiguration. This gives us the real context for the corona graeca. 40
