9. The Frontage- Statues of the Franciscan Church. Above the gate in a Baroque cartouche there is the coat-of-arms of the Franciscan order, and twotwo puttos on the right and left. The cartouche is held by them. It bears an inscription. At the first compartment there are three niches, with a statue in each. In the middle, the statue of Saint Anna with the child Mary. On the left, Sainc Francis of Assisi, on the right Saint Anthony of Padova. On the tympanum, there also used to be some stacues which by this time have already been destroyed. On the street-side-front of the Loretto-Chapel, built in 1718, we can see the coat-of-arms of the Kucklander-family, made of red marble. 10. The Birth of Christ. The author of this stone relief is not known. It can be found on the wall of the so-called Gróth - or Saracen House, designed by Antal Hartmann, in 1760. I. 2. 19th CENTURY Pál Cséfalvay 11. The Statue of Saint Florian. It can be seen in a in a niche, on the wall of the Palace Museum. It is a small-size statue of lime-stone, made in the beginning of the 19th century. Saint Florian is patron saint of the firemen. 12. Saint John of Nepomuk. This statue stands on Heroes' Square, near the Church of Szentgyörgymező (Saint George's Field). It was made of sandstone. It was erected by Mihály Fehér, shipping attorney of the primatial lands, in 1818. The original place of the statue was in front of the church gate. When arranging the square, it was placed where it stands today. Originally it was fenced with railings. 13. The Statue of Saint Vendel. It stands on the right of the so-called Round-Church, on Heroes' Square. At the end of the 19th century the city border was there. Saint Vendel was popular with the farmers and was regarded as their patron saint. The statue was carved by Lajos Karmás, an architect from Pest, in 1820, and was stood at the top of the central column (going upwards and ornamented with floral motives) of the Statue of the Trinity. The statue of Saint Vendel was renovated in 1995. 14. Statues of angels and the Tympanum. Saint Anna's Church, or the Round Church as we have already mentioned it is situated on Runday 136 Square.
