Abstract: (Stylistical characteristics in Mihály Babits's novel entitled 'A gólyakalifa' < The stork-caliph> ) The textual analysis brings the structural principles into connection with the characteristic features of the style starting from the fact that the two contrasted spheres of the novel differ in their style. The study deals with the correspondence of Ulis novel and the early poetry of Babits, finds common motives between the fin de siecle and the beginning of this century, and demonstrates the great variety of the stylistical features.
