(Ruw, Ken, Mer, Kil.) 381. Thuidium sublaevipes Dix. Probably only a more branched variety of Th. laevipes with a bit wrinkled seta. — Submontane forests. Ulu: Lupanga 1350m, ct (6065 P) det. B; Mzinga v. above the falls, 1450m, ct (6266 L) det. B. (Known only from the type locality: Tvl.) 382. Thuidium tamariscinum (Hedw.) B. S. G. — Subalpine elfin forest. Ulu: Lukwangule plateau 2500m, te (6080 AM) det. B. (Temperate Eurasia, Temperate and tropical America, Madeira, Acores, on the African continent: Kilimanjaro, where was reported by Mitten, but according to Sim 1920:388 this belongs to Th. promontorii C.
