SUMMARY This paper is a summary of the present achievements in the qualitative investigation of spring-waters in and near Eger, as well as an account of my own scienific research. One of the basic aims of my survey was to work out an optimum pattern of meausuring the radium content of spring-waters. In the present investigation the LR

—115 Type II. mickler track detector was applied instead of the earlier method based on the meausurement of the activity by a manometer. Results prove the applicability of the track etched detector technique for such investigation. Taking into account the limits of errors no substantial difference can be observed in the radium content of the three springs investigeted. 585
