VADKERTI ANITA* Heves megye gyógyvízadottságai és azok kihasználásának vizsgálata The medicina] waters of Heves county and their development Heves county is abounding in tourist values; therefore, it is one of the most frequented counties in Hungary. Still, investment in tourism is relatively low in this region, which might be the result of the fact that the small number of development realised in the region is accompanied by low investment in the tourism industry, as well as insufficient supply and relatively low-level cooperation between the various fields and suppliers. In my presentation 1 aim to describe the potentials of the medicinal waters of the region, such as building medicinal baths, as well as to what extent the given settlement exploits or is planning to build upon its endowment. My presentation is primarily based on Internet-based data and personal interviews, as background literature gives access only to general information on the topic. The settlements involved in the research are the following: Eger, Egerszalók, Felsőtárkány, Bükkszék, Heves, Párád, Parádfúrdő, Mátraderecske, Tarnaméra. In fact, not all settlements can exploit their potentials properly. Fligh-quality supply requires common investment. Accessibility, improved road networks, highquality service, as well as the improved efficiency of marketing activities are among the most important prerequisites. Moreover, European Union subsidy might ease development financed by local governments facing financial difficulties. Bevezetés Heves megye az ország legkisebb megyéi közé tartozik. Területe az ország területének 3,9%-a, lakossága 327 000 fő, az ország lakónépességének 3,2%-a. Az Észak-magyarországi régióban a területi súlya 27%, illetve lakónépességének aránya 25,2% (www.ksh.hu). Heves megye turisztikai kínálata igen gazdag, így az ország egyik leglátogatottabb megyéje annak ellenére, hogy a lehetőségekhez mérten igen alacsonyak az idegenforgalomban megvalósuló beruházások. Néhány jelentős fejlesztés mellett igen alacsony az ágazatot érintő invesztíció, hiányos a termékkínálat és viszonylag Vadkerti Anita PhD hallgató, főiskolai adjunktus, Eszterházy Károly Főiskola, Gazdaságtudományi intézet.
