Summary EXECUTIVE REGULATIONS AND ELABORATION OF FINDING AIDS The author analyses the rules of the Law on the preservation of the archives and the executive regulations, concerning the archival service, particularly in the elaboration of the scientific-finding and other aids in the archives of Croatia. In this article it is mentioned in a special way, that the obligations and the task of the archival service in Croatia are well elaborated in the prescriptions of Law and in the executive regulations, but the rules of which depends the realisation of legal and sublegal provisions in praxis have been treated and solved in very different ways. Those circumstances are worked out in a very detailed manner, and the author quoted in them all legal and sublegal texts known to him regarding the elaboration of the scientific-finding and other aids, following their realisation in the period from 1948 to 1988. Certainly, all the mentioned circumstances essentially determined the theoretical aspects of elaboration of scientific-finding and other aids in Croatia as well. Translated by Ivan Dovranić 19
