UDK 930.25(084.14) Pajalić, Dubravko: EXPERIENCES THE WORLD REGARDING THE PROTECTION OF NONCONVENTIONAL ARCHIVE MATERIALS The author considers the problem of protecting nonvonventional archive materials, especially the machine-readable documents through experiences in four countries: the USA, Canada, France and the Soviet Union. Special attention is paid to the survey of take over, the techniques of evaluation methods and the sorting of machine-readable documents, internal organisation of archives that are engaged with newer archival material and the education in the protection of new archival material. Chosen are representative national archives such as the National Archives in USA, the Orchives Centre at Fontainebleau, France, National Archives in Ottawa, Canada and some archives in the Soviet Union. UDK 940.1(497)636.3 Matkovski, Aleksandar: THE TAX ON CATTLE — PHILURIA Cattle owners — the Vlasi — with a big number of sheep had to pay tax to the state or to the owners of 'has' as a lump sum — philuria, giving awav a certain number of sheep and also by active army or other services. Philuria was the main and basic tax of the Vlasi and served instead of all other regular and extra taxes that the ordinary people had to pay. UDK 940(=497.13) (497.16) Krpan, Stjepan: THE CROATIANS IN BANAT The author writes about the less known Croatian monority in Banat, giving a historical review of their migration and development, their conneections with tweir majority stream in Croatia, their religious and educational conditions. Mainly, they are of the 'štokavski' and 'kajkavski' dialicts. According to the general scheme of the catholic church in Yugoslavia, mass is given in the Croatian language in Zrenjanin, Boka, Neuzina, Opovo, Perlez, Bela Crkva, Ivanovo, Pancevo and Starčevo. Ficović, Ivo: DUBROVNIK THEATRE IN THE TIME OF THE FRANCH OCCUPATION The French occupation authorities decided to turn the hall of the Great Council of the Dubrovnik Republic into a theatre. The theatre was named The Duke's theatre (Theatre Ducal) after Marchai Marmont whom Napoleon presented with the title Duke of Dubrovnik (Duc de Ragusa). In this work we find for the first time a detailed description of the theatre that remained in use until 1817. when a fire burst out and burned down the entire building of the Great Council.
