THE ANALYSIS OF THE CONDITIONS AND THE PROBLEMS OF CONSERVATION OF THE ARCHIVE MATERIAL KEPT OUTSIDE THE ARCHIVE INSTITUTIONS IN CROATIA In this report the number of archives that are kept by the Croatian archives are stated; also the total of the archive material kept outside of institutions; the quality of material that awaits entrance into the archives; the realisation of the lawful duties of archive owners towards the institution concerning the evidence list of material they keep; the way a contact owner-archive is realized, and finaly, summed up are the problems that archives come across when carying out the conservation of material kept outside the institution, with a list of possible answers. At the end the author gives review of measures untertaken in solving such problems. SUMMARY 36
