Arhivski vjesnik, 27/1984. str. 113—134. . copies of their Finding aids to the central republican Archives of Croatia in Zagreb, so that in this mstitation every user of the archival material can be well informed about the contents of almost all record groups in various Historical Archives of Croatia. There is also a possibility to get more or less analytical insight into the various record groups and other archival material that is not situated in our Historical Archives but outside them in many institutions, museums, in manuscript departments of scientific libraries, in some cultural centres in Croatia and in many church archives, too. A new and valuable finding aid, in fact a directory through all these archives and archival collections under a title »A Survey of record groups and archival collections in SR Croatia« (»Pregled fondova i zbirki SR Hrvatske«) appeared in 1984., as an edition of the Society of the archival workers in Yugoslavia. All these archival materials and all these finding aids make an information system, although still manualy handled. There are some new attempts though still in a planning phase, in Archive of Croatia, to try make an index with a microcomputer, by means of automatic data processing (ADP) on some of these finding aids that are still without an index, such as e. g. Carthographic collection and other simple record groups. In the end the author concludes that by several terminals in some Historical Archives in Croatia connected with Archives of Croatia and connected with a huge Hewlitt Packard machine in the Institute for Culture of Croatia in Zagreb, there can be constituted a good information system for various cultural institutions, including archives, libraries, museums and others in Croatia and further in Yugoslavia. In Supplement at the end of this work, the autor gives a list of various constitutive elements of possible archival information system in Croatia and in other Republic of Yugoslavia. 134
