Sikerről, sikerre... A kórus állandó résztvevője az iskola, a város, a megye kulturális rendezvényeinek. Többször szerepelt az Országos Diáknapokon, minden évben felcsendül műsora a Magyar Rádió Éneklő Ifjúság adásaiban. Hatszor nyerte el egymás után az "Év Kórusa" címet, az elmúlt évben "Közművelődési Dijat" kapott. Néhány éve robbant be a nemzetközi élvonalba,- 1987. Békés-Tarhos. A kórus első igazi megmérettetésén elnyerte a Montreáli Filharmónia Igazgatójának különdíját.- 1989. Békés-Tarhos - az énekkar Nagydijat kapott.- 1989. Első külföldi utunk Görögországba vezetett, ahol Athén és környékén adtunk hangversenyeket.- 1990. Kristiansand - Norvégia. Részt vettünk egy Egyházzenei Világfesztiválon.- 1990. Debrecen. A XIV, Bartók Béla Nemzetközi Kórusversenyen II. díj; a karnagy a zsűri karvezetői különdiját nyerte el.- 1991. Arnhem - Hollandia III. díj.- 1992. Middlesbrough - Anglia; négy kategóriában négy II. díj.- 1993. IV. Budapesti Nemzetközi Kórusverseny, ahol a kórus két I. dijat nyert, és lehetőséget, hogy egyetlen magyar kórusként részt vehessen a Nagydijért folyó versenyben.- 1993. Gorizia - Olaszország: három kategóriában indultunk és "természetesen" három kupát hoztunk gimnáziumunknak. Success after success The choir regularly takes part in the cultural programmes of the school, town and country. We appeared at the so called 'National Student Days' several times and we sing in the 'Singing Youth' broadcasts of the Hungarian Radio every year. The choir was awarded the title of the 'Choir of the Year' of the country six times in succession, and last year we got an award for 'Public Enlightenment'. Some years ago the choir got to the international forefront.- 1987 - Békes-Tarhos - at the first real trial for the choir we got a special prize from the Director of the Montreal Philharmony.- 1989 - our first tour abroad, to Greece, We gave concerts in and around Athens.- 1990 - Kristiansand, Norway. We took part in the World Festival of Sacred Music.- 1990 - Debrecen - at the XIV Bartók Béla International Choir Contest we were awarded 2nd prize and the special prize of the jury for the conductor.- 1991 - Arnhem, Holland - 3rd prize.- 1992 - Middlesborough, U.K. - four 2nd prizes in four categories.- 1993 - IV Budapest International Choir Contest - the choir won two 1st prizes and the possibility to compete for the Grand Prize - as the only Hungarian choir in the finals.- 1993 - Gorizia, Italy - we entered three categories and "of course" won three cups for our grammar school.
