Following the worship the congregation and guests attended a banquet at The Forge. The Rev. Stefan M. Torok led the Service of Holy Communion, assisted by the Rev. Dr. Ernest B. Racz and the Rev. Albert W. Kovács, Pastor Emeritus. The anniversary sermon, "Connections," was delivered by Pastor Kovács, who was confirmed by the church as a youngster, and was its pastor until his retirement for almost eighteen years. The Chief Elder of the congregation is Mr. Ernest Balogh. Rev. Torok, who has served the congregation for the last five years, spoke at the banquet of his faith journey after fleeing Communist oppression in Slovakia, separating him from his family for more than a decade. He noted that for six years his letters to his mother and family were seized. After completing his seminary studies in America, he continued his pastoral ministry which included almost three decades in Perth Amboy, Kirkland Place, prior to his latest pastorate in Woodbridge. The Woodbridge congregation, organized on September 9, 1903. just merged several years ago with the John Calvin Hungarian Reformed Church of Perth Amboy, which sold its former building on Amboy Avenue to continue together in the worship of God. The addition of Calvin's name to the title reflects the merging of the two Christian communities into one. The Hungarian Reformed Church in Hungarian Village 365 E.
