Continued from page 3 Those who are not trained an equipped are very vulnerable to false doctrines. In today’s world, many spread false doctrines using sophisticated electronic means, internet, televisions, newspapers and books to teach contrary to the will and Word of God. We need to build members with a firm foundation in true faith to withstand this onslaught. That foundation was and is given in our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ. “Speaking the truth in love, we must grow up in every way into him who is the head, into Christ, from whom the whole body, joined and knitted together by every ligament with which it is equipped, as each part is working properly, promotes the body’s growth in building itself up in love. ” The Scripture teaches us how to work together in the Christian Church. Each of you is a precious servant and child of God. It is our mission to use Christ’s gift and your individual gifts of the Spirit for the up-building of our congregations, to nurtures Christian fellowship with one another, and to fully utilize each other’s gifts and talents. May the Almighty God enable us to hear His voice in the Scriptures, give us strength and wisdom to do our ministries, and bless our labors as we glorify the Lord of all creation. The grace of God, deeper than our imagination; the strength of Christ, stronger than our need; and the communion of the Holy Spirit, richer than our togetherness; guide and sustain us today and in all our tomorrows. Yours in His service, Rt. Rev. Bela Poznan, Bishop HIGHLIGHTS Memorial: Bishop Ludwig spoke about those who have served faithfully in our Synod and our Congregations and have now been called home by the Lord.
