CONGREGATIONAL and CALVIN SYNOD NEWS FIRST HUNGARIAN REFORMED CHURCH, Homestead PA held a Palm Sunday Luncheon after Worship on April 5. Maundy Thursday Worship was conducted on April 9 and Easter Sunday Worship was held on April 12. FIRST HUNGARIAN REFORMED CHURCH, Pittsburgh PA conducted Good Friday Worship on April 10. Hungarian and English Worship were held on Easter Sunday April 12. The church is re-introducing Hungarian language services one Sunday per month. And starting early May, Rev. Ilona Komjáthy assisted by Lisa Kerestesi, will lead an adult study of the Heidelberg Catechism. FIRST PRESBYTERIAN CHURCH, Lawrenceburg TN hosted a community-wide Lenten Worship and Luncheon on March 25th. Pastor Chuck Huckaby spoke during the service. All money raised went to the charitable ministry of the Lawrence County Ministerial Association. HUNGARIAN REFORMED CHURCH, Fairport Harbor OH conducted Lenten Wednesday Worship after a potluck dinner on April 1. HUNGARIAN REFORMED CHURCH, Lorain OH held Lenten Thursday Worship on April 2. On Palm Sunday April 5 visitation to sick & shut-in members took place and included gifts, greetings & prayers. Maundy Thursday Worship was held April 9, Good Friday Worship was held April 10. Easter Sunrise Worship took place April 12 followed by a Congregational Breakfast. All services included Holy Communion. UNITED CHURCH of CHRIST, Bridgeport, CT participated in Lenten Ecumenical Worship Services at various churches throughout Bridgeport and Fairfield Connecticut on March 4, 11, 18, 25 and April 1.
