CALVIN SYNOD HÉRÁI D 11 support in TRAC’s work. By announcements on the radio and in several city churches, they received both financial help, donation of gifts and personal assistance to provide a Christmas program for the homeless people (as shown in the attached reports). Formerly these poor people had been looked down upon by nearly everyone, as Communism had driven people into distrust and isolation from each other; while now they have begun to show them the compassion of Christian love. This is our prayer. For TRAC, Rev. Bernard J. This year I’m charged with the Diaspora-mission since Sipos David is finishing theology. I come from the congregation near by Szatmamemet (Satu Mare). Maybe that’s why I feel compelled to work in this mission. I see how much the Reformed people from this Diasporas cleave to the church and to God. They are aware of their situation, but they want to hope; and our duty is to keep them in hope that will never die. Reformed people of the Diaspora church These people really desire after the word of God and we have to do our best to bring them what they need. I have much to learn; but I pray that God give me the necessary strength and wisdom to this work. I would like to do it as good as David did, or even better, more efficiently. It seems to me that the Diaspora is something Jesus described this way: “I needed clothes and you clothed me, I was sick and you looked after me, I was in prison and you came to visit me. ” These people are surrounded by the loneliness, fear and death; but I see also that they need very much the Word and we must seed into their hearts that God can give new life; He is the Lord upon life and death. I can’t write down what sort of feelings are in me right now but I know one thing, I want to pass on what God gives me. As Paul said once: ‘ forgetting what is behind and straining toward what is ahead, I press on toward the goal to win the prize for which God has called me heavenward in Christ Jesus. ” (Philippians 3, 14) I ask for God’s blessing on the mission’s work team.
