6 CALVIN SYNOD HERALD ride were Alex Buffalo, Major Nathan Huntington and his son, Shay, Brent Scott, William Nall and Ben-Johan ven der Walt. The Reformed Motorcycle Club is a group of men who share in a strong Reformed Calvinist biblical faith. They began the club two years ago and consider themselves to be the Alpha Chapter. Brent Scott has been working on the club’s charter and they hope to have it finished soon. “The motorcycling community is growing very quickly and the standard attitude is still beer drinking and hell-raising,” explained Alexander Buffalo. “In the long run, we hope to bring our ministry to others who venture out on two wheels. Perhaps with His help, the RMC can turn that tide! We have ridden as a group on a number of occasions with our ‘Burning Bush’ MC Patch emblazoned on the back of our vests. We have also ridden in the Christmas Parade here in Manassas. When we get more people to ride with us, we might be able to do some sort of toy ride for one of the children’s charities here around Christmas time.” Alexander Buffalo Reformed Presbyterian Church Manassas, VA RMC Reformation Day Ride Brent Scott Bill Nall., riding a Harley Davidson Sporster On Saturday, October 27, 2007, the Reformed Motorcycle Club (RMC) celebrated Reformation Day with their annual Reformation Motorcycle Ride. They began in Manassas, Virginia, and headed out on Route 3 towards the northern neck of Virginia. The Northern Neck is the peninsula that exists between the Potomac and Rappahannock Rivers with the eastern most tip touching about midway between the mouth of the Chesapeake Bay and its northern most point. Northern Neck is home to the birthplace and boyhood homes of George Washington (Popes Creek Plantation and Fredericksburg Ferry Farm respectively), and Robert E. Lee, Stratford Hall. It is also home to some of the best ginger ale on the planet, Northern Neck Ginger Ale. The riders stopped for dinner and fellowship in a small town called Montross, which is about halfway between Fredericksburg and the tip of the peninsula. After about an hour and a half of fellowship and rest, they headed back towards Manassas. The whole ride lasted from about 1:30pm until 7:00pm.
