CT • September 11 is Rally Day and Church-wide Picnic, Installation of Sunday School Teachers, and Grandparents Day. • Flea Market on September 17, 10AM to 4PM. • On October 23, we will host our Appreciation Luncheon at 12 Noon. • Our Sunday School will hold a Bake Sale on October 30, Reformation Sunday. Faimort Harbor OH • In keeping with the intention of the Calvin Synod’s annual meeting decision to affirm marriage as between one man and one woman, on July 17, the congregation of the Hungarian Reformed Church of Fairport Harbor, Ohio, voted to approve and incorporate the following amendment into the local church bylaws, to wit; “ The pastor will conduct marriage services only between one (1) man and one (1) woman.” HRC Lorain. OH • On September 3-5, we will be sending delegates to the Presbyter’s Conference in Pennsylvania. • On June 12, Rev. Peter Toth was elected as the new pastor of the Hungarian Reformed Church in Lorain. He will begin his ministry on September 11, 2005. On that date, we will also hold Rally Day for our Sunday School to kick off the new school year. A picnic will follow the service. Annual Men’s Brotherhood Bacon Fry at 3 PM. • October 1 is a “Nite in Budapest” Dinner Dance in our church social hall sponsored by the Hungarian Council. • We will celebrate World Wide communion on October 2. • On October 8, we will be attending the Lakeside Classis Meeting in Dayton. • A Service and Reception remembering the 1956 Revolution will be held October 16 at 3 PM. • October 23 is Reformation Sunday with Holy Communion and Sunday School Fall Celebration. • We will have a Harvest Festival in our social hall sponsored by the Friends Society on October 29.
