CALVIN SYNOD HERALD- 8 -AMERIKAI MAGYAR REFORMÁTUSOK LAPJA Calvin Synod Herald Amerikai Magyar Reformátusok Lapja Continued from Page 7 pók és Lapunkat a globális szolgálatnak missziói útjára terelte Istenünk. A letűnt tíz év mérhetetetlenül gazdag évtizednek bizonyult. Amig Lapunk él, Kerületünk él! Amikor kimúlik akkor megkondul a Lélek-Harang életünk felett!!! Istennek hála Kerületünk fölötte értékes anyagi támogatásáért, valamint megértő egyházainknak segítségeiért. Hála hirdetőinknek és támogatóinknak egész nagy Amerikában. Our congregations are still bi-lingual as is our Publication. I would like to avoid repetitions from the former Hungarian portion. We are the oldest Publication of our kind in the whole world. It started its existence in 1900, in Cleveland, Ohiothe “Jerusalem of our magyar reformed churches in America”. The first editor was Rev. Elek Csutoros of First Church, in May of 1900. The Century Celebration is close at hand. Next year’s Synod Meeting should really go to the place of its birth! In the by-gone decade, we entered into Hungary and to the succession states with the gift copies to ministers all around and Hungarian institutions all over the globe. We have fulfilled a foremost missionary outreach for our Godordained togetherness. We have been warmly received by thankful readers all over the world. In addition to our historical mission, we fulfill a mission to our own here at home. We are sending complimentary copies to our minister, ministers of sister denominations, ministers’ widows, institutions, libraries, etc. We extend our heartfelt gratitude to the congregations that subscribe to all members and to large numbers of copies. Cleveland West leads on top with 300 copies. Columbus, Ohio is next on the honor roll with 83 to all members. Impressive numbers of copies go to Cleveland First, Bridgeport, CT, Davison, Ml, Lorain, OH, Dayton, OH, South Norwalk, CT, Springdale, PA, Passaic, NJ, Perth Amboy, NJ, Wallingford, CT. Loyal supporter are Fairport Harbor, OH, Indiana-Harbor, IN, East Chicago, IL, Gary, IN, Whiting, IN, Los Angeles, CA, Bethlehem, PA, Buffalo, NY, Kalamazoo, Ml, New York, NY, Woodbridge, NJ, Ligonier, PA, Vintondale, PA, Pittsburgh, PA, Homestead, PA, and Manville, NJ. Additional gifts from Dayton, OH and Norridge, IL. Toledo, OH subscribes 20 copies. From Winnipeg, Canada, we also have subscribers. Free Church of Akron, OH also subscribes to 25 copies for each presbyter. We also have over and above the church-group subscriptions half a hundred very loyal and steady individual subscribers. Our grateful thanks go to our spectacular givers: István Hunyadi and Lili P. Volosin of Cleveland, OH. I am extremely grateful to Synod for the former raise of subsidy and the gracious gift given to me last year as a token of appreciation. And last but not least, my grateful thanks to my wife Violet, for managing the mailing with such great devotion, and my son, Fred Stephen, for the excellent work of computerization. It makes me happy to turn over a most efficient system of computerization to my successor, which took years to develop to perfection to be a great help in the life of our Publication. I am exceedingly overjoyed by the fact that our Synod will place the future of our Lapja into the expert hands of Rt. Rev. Dr. Francis Vitéz, a well-seasoned and proven successor, my “előd and utód” and “ utód and előd”, who, indeed, is the VITÉZ of our Hungarian Reformed Life in America. Ad multos Annos! Záró mondatul had idézzem az Apostolt: “Ama nemes harcot megharcoltam, futásomat elvégeztem, a hitet megtartottam” és a reám-bízott sok-sok ezerrel is megtartattam! - OURS WAS THE WORK!
