Rev. Bertalan Tamas, the head of the Foreign Affair's Department at the Reformed Church of Hungary was in attendance. It was amusing to hear him say 7 am the good Rev. Tamás..." He recounted 7 was very active in the World Alliance of Reformed Churches in myyoungerdays, but I could not find any of my friends, they are all retired." President Sam Calian of the Pittsburgh Seminary made it possible that a young minister from Hungary will become a graduate student in Pittsburgh. The Rev. Adam Miklós is due to arrive on September 15. The Tribune Democrat, a newspaper in Johnstown, publishedDr. Aladár Komjáthy's letter to the editor in connection with the 100th anniversary of Vacation Bible School in the U.S. During his study of history, he gathered sufficient evidence that our Hungarian Reformed churches in America were the pioneers of the VBS. It is remarkable that Pittsburgh shall attempt to hold Vacation Bible School in this anniversary year. □□□ On September 4, Sunday, the Presbyter's Association's Annual Conference was held. On September 5, Monday - Labor Day, a morning worship service was held with the Minister's Association. The Presbyter's Meeting ended with the noon-dinner. The Minister's Meeting started after dinner, and continued into Through the genorosity of the William Penn Association, we had the second meeting of the Central Classis this year on the beautiful grounds of the Penn Scenic View, Saturday, July 30th. Through the kindness of Endre Csornán, the national secretary of the Hungarian Reformed Federation of America, we were fed with a delicious Hungarian meal. The response was most encouraging. All Hungarian churches in Western Pennsylvania were represented. Beaver Falls, Brownsville Calvin Presbyterian, Duquesne, Homestead, Johnstown, Ligonier, McKeesport, Pittsburgh, Springdale, and Vintondale. Sonny Blucherol Beaver Falls spoke on the subject "What a Friend We Have in Jesus." It was so well received that we answered singing the hymn, too. Clasthe next day. At the Presbyters' and Church Worker's Conference,PaulJ. Szaniszlo presided, and at the Minister's Conference, Rev. Frank Endrei was at the helm. Both Conferences had a heavy and important agenda, with inspiring topics and great speakers. Details will be in our next issue. sis Presbyter William Horosz, Treasurer Wilburn Roby gave their official reports. Mrs. Margaret Dadey was appointed by the dean secretary-pro-tempore. Each church reported on their joys and concerns. A Fall Joint Sunday Worship Service was unanimously approved as proposed by Rev. Kennedy. A commission was formed jointly HRCA and Central Classis. Dr. Komjáthy conducted a holy communion service assisted by Rev. Jalsó. The offering of the services goes to support the Hungarian Reformed Radio Program of Rev. Borsay. It is the 100th anniversary of the beginning of Hungarian Reformed women's work in this country as our women will celebrate on October 2,1994. It was a very blessed event. Praise God for our fine fellowship. □□□ Good News From the Central Classis by Dr. Aladár Komjáthy, Dean
