Our brother in Christ Andrew Kurimai was born on October 19. 1912 in Norwalk, CT. He married Irene Lucskay. They have three married children: Mark, Mrs. George Klein and Mrs. Glen Lambert. He died on March 9, 1981 at Stamford Hospital, Stamford, CT. He was given God’s grace to discover early in his life the reality and superiority of God’s eternal kingdom abiding forever over a constantly changing and decaying perishable phenomenal world. The innermost desire of his heart was to serve God, his King and Savior. He was a man to praise God in the Church Choir. He was an elder, several times a delegate of our Church to Calvin Synod as a member of our Consistory, past secretary, treasurer and president of our Consistory, also a past Sunperintendent of our Church Sunday School. He was District Manager of the local chapter of the Hungarian Reformed Federation of America, past member of the Board of Directors of the Federation, member of the Governing Board of the Bethlen Home, delegate of our Calvin Synod to the General Synod of the U.C.C. This list is not complete. He loved his family and realized that the church possessing the hope of glory is God’s larger family through faith in Christ. At this point God opened wide before him the gate of heaven. Looking at this merely with an earthly eye would bring us only sudden separation, pain and sorrow, but looking at this happening with the inner eye of faith we see the promise of an eternal blessing in the light of God’s self-revelation to us in His holy word. Zoltán Szabó ALEX CSIK 1919-1981 Our beloved brother Alex Csik was born in Fairfield, CT on July 25, 1919. Taken back to Hungary at the age of 3 and then returned to Norwalk, in 1937. He became an active member of the Hungarian Reformed Church of South Norwalk. He was a member of the Choir, a member of the Consistory being the Secretary, Chairman of the Social and Membership Committees, the discussion leader of the Hungarian Group at the First Palm Sunday Conference at Fairfield, CT and he faithfully attended all of our Palm Sunday Conferences, a member of the Brotherhood and Vice-President, a member of the Hungarian Committee, he was the starter and organizer of the Hungarian Program on station WNLK, a member of the Scholarship Committee of Bridgeport University, a member of the Hungarian Federation of America, he served as a paratrooper in the Armed Forces in World War II, was a 2nd Lieutenant of the Connecticut National Guard, Vice-President and President of the Hungarian Presbyters’ Conference, a District Manager of the Hungarian Reformed Federation of America. He was a man drawn to Christ whose love set ablaze his life. What did he aim at and achieve by his earthly life? He became a witness, a candle of the Lord. Deceased April 4. 1981. Funeral Service: April 8, 1981. Zoltán Szabó ANDREW KURIMAI 1912-1981
