Interested persons are to call the Bishop’s Office. THE REV. BELA POHOCZKY was elected pastor of the East Side Lutheran Church in Cleveland, Ohio, starting his ministry on Sept. 1, 1977. THE MINUTES of our last Synod Meeting were distributed at Ligonier on September 5-6. THE CONFERENCE COUNCIL met in Cleveland, Ohio on Sept. 27 and 28, 1977. REPORTS TO THE BETHLEN ALMANAC were due on Sept. 14, 1977. In double spaced typing, the pastors are to mail them directly to Superintendent L. Nagy. Two black and white photographs, not larger than 8x5 inches, may also be sent. “THE FUTURE OF LIGONIER” was the topic of the Rt. Rev. A. George’s presentation on Sept. 5 at the Min. Assoc, meeting at Ligonier. Pastors were urged to attend it! (Of course, elders were urged to attend the Presbyters meeting on Sept. 4-5 there.) AMERICAN HUNGARIAN FEDERATION had its triennial meeting on Sept. 23, 9:30 A.M. in Washington, D.C. Our churches are asked to pay $25 dues and participate by voting member(s). INSTALLATION of the Rev. J. Benedek into our Gary church was held on Sept. 25 at 4 P.M. ANNIVERSARIES: Our Buffalo church celebrated its 50th birthday Sept. 11, our Hammond congregation was 70 yeras old and our Lorain, Oh. church 75 years old on on Sept. 18. ‘“BECAUSE WE REMEMBERED’’ is a 14 minute filmstrip with record on the 11th Gen.
