Király, Treasurer, 220 Fourth Street, Passaic, N.J. 07055. o o o 28th Annual Youth Camp at Camp Laurel Wood, August 14-20, 1977 Camp Theme: “The End of the World — When? How?’’ Reverend Arthur E. Antal has announced that the theme of the Calvin Synod 28th Annual Youth Camp held at Camp Laurel Wood will be THE END OF THE WORLD — WHEN? AND HOW? There has been so very much said and written on this theme. It is heard from various religious groups and space scientists, from people in all walks of life. What does the Bible say about it, especially the Book of Daniel and the Book of Revelations? What do you believe? What is believable? What is the Armagedon? What is the millennium? Come to explore and deepen your religious faith! Join with us from August 14 through August 20, 1977 at Camp Laurel Wood where the theme will be explored in depth. WHAT TO BRING? The following is a list of what should be brought to Camp with you: Flashlight, warm coat or sweater, camp clothes, heavy shoes, bathing suit, towels and soap. Tennis balls and racket if you play tennis. Rubber shoes and raincoat will prove useful. The Bible is one of the essentials. Sleeping bag, or blankets, sheets, pillow and pillow slips. Beginning at 1:00 P.M. Sunday, the Camp extends to 9:00 A.M. the following Saturday. Please observe these times when making travel arrangements. PRIVATE PROPERTY IS BROUGHT AT CAMPER’S OWN RISK. PLEASE NOTE: The Friday Night Consecration Serv­ice is also the Communion Service — it is a “Sunday Dress” occasion. IMPORTANT! REGISTRATION: $50.00 This includes meals, lodging and insurance. Minimum age is 13 or Confirmed. Also included in the cost is the can­teen and arts and crafts. The total amount ($50.00) must accompany the registra­tion form and sent in no later than August 1, 1977. Jalso met with mem­bers of the congregation the last time ... (1908-1977) IN CLEVELAND, OHIO The First Hungarian Reformed Church celebrated the double anniversary of the Rt. Rev. Dr. Stephen Szabó (50 years in Christian ministry, 30 years in Cleveland) on May 22. The whole Synod wishes God’s blessings on our “President Emeritus.’’ IN FLINT, MICH., our beloved “Professor’’ Dr. Joseph Zsíros and his faithful wife celebrated their golden wed­ding anniversary on May 15 in connection with the church’s anniversary. “A prudent wife is from the Lord” (Prov. 19:14) and so is a prudent husband! .. . DR. ARTHUR LUDWIG was named by the Lake County Women’s Council as an outstanding citizen of the county. OUR GARY, IND. CHURCH burned the mortgage papers on April 24. Pastor Joseph Benedek could leave the hospital for the occasion... THE REV. PAUL FERENCZY was elected pastor of the Lakeland, Fla. Presb. Church on April 17. IN ELYRIA, OHIO the Magyar United Church of Christ celebrated its 60th anniversary on May 15. IN DAYTON, OHIO the Rev. Stephen Szőke was in­stalled on May 1 by Deputy Bishop Desmond D. Parragh. THE REV. GABOR NITSCH, pastor of the Miami First Hungarian United Church, was married to Ilona Tisza on April 16 (by his mother) and was ordained-installed on April 17. STILL VACANT CHURCHES: Columbus, Ohio; Coatesville, Pa.; Phoenixville, Pa.; In­terested persons should call Bishop Butosi. THE REV. JOSEPH KECSKEMETHY, after two suc­cessful open heart surgeries on Dec. 16, 1976 and March 7, 1977, now convalescing under the “tender loving care” of his “Darling Guardian Angel" (his wife). THE REV. DR. KALMAN TOTH also had another open heart surgery early in February and is now on the road of recovery. THE REV. ALEXANDER MARTON was buried in Youngstown, Ohio on April 12. Rev. A. Elek represented us. “TO WALK TOGETHER" — a major filmstrip on the history and heritage of the United Church of Christ in cele­bration of the 20th anniversary, is available in the Bishop’s Office for free rental. THE CHILDREN DEPARTMENT of the Bethlen Home will be closed as of July 31, 1977 due to undue expenses. IN SOUTH AMERICA the Hungarian Reformed work desperately needs our support: with the death of Rev. S. Csákány, Rev. Imre Szabó is our only full-time worker under retirement age! He visits Uruguay monthly until Rev. L.
