POLISH-HUNGARIAN WORLD FEDERATION — GREETINGS Dear Doctor Ripa and Delegates: It is a high honor to greet this great body of men and women dedicated to the spirit of freedom and liberty. Our history and heritage both in Europe and America has been a source of great encouragement and hope to all enslaved peoples. The struggle for independence and freedom is a continuing one. We must lift up our voices wherever and whenever tyranny exists. We must give of ourselves and of our substance if we wish our words to be acceptable and meaningful. We must give our very lives, if need be, to strengthen the resolve of all free men to obtain for themselves and all mankind the blessings of freedom and peace. I know that our Polish-Hungarian World Federation and Affiliates are dedicated to this end. It is a privilege at this time to express my personal appreciation and best wishes to our President, Dr. Ripa for his outstanding and dedicated leadership to our Federation and for his unflagging efforts to keep before our great nation the unending battle for truth and justice in Eastern Europe and throughout the world. May God’s blessing be with you and our common work. Blessings and Peace! Arpad L. Beretz, Bishop A SUMMER PRAYER Wide spreading skies of blue, drip your sweet balm Upon man’s fretted spirit; bring surcease From nagging cares, and teach him to be calm; Cool breeze, caress his brow, and bring him peace Great river, swing ever toward the sea, Converse with him of purpose, and of goals; Warm sun, thaw his numbed heart, help him to see That joy is won by LOVING, SERVING souls... Tall trees, whisper of patient kindliness; Oh mountains blue, tell him of steadfastness; Green growing grass, show him humility; And birds, help him to sing, and thankful be! Great OUT OF DOORS, we send him forth to you, Restore his soul, as only YOU can do! Grace Hamer Poffenberger mmmmmmmmmmammmmmmmm i -I MEETINGS IN LIGONIER, PA.
