The preternatural events surrounding that birth were told j 1 and retold to each generation of man. The Messiah was born. Salvation had come. The Kingdom of God was at hand. Jesus the Christ was Saviour of man and of the world. And the angels sang: “Glory to God in the highest, on earth peace, goodivill toward men.” Luke 2:14 From the beginning the Word teas Christ and Christ was the l I Word. This Saviour, this Messiah, this Mediator, this Flesh and | [ Blood was the Word by which God created the world and all that i j dwells therein. He is life. All life finds it’s lineage in the shoreless j I sea of B.C. “And the Word was made flesh and dwelt among us, and we upheld his glory, the glory as of the only begotten of the Father, full of grace and truth.” John I: 14 It is this eternal Word that is cause for rejoicing. Light dis- | I persed the darkness. The unknowable becomes knowable. The j I Word made flesh in Jesus Christ. In Bethlehem, B.C. and A.D. met and became one and in that j I oneness the joy and happiness of Christmas was born. With best wishes for a blessed Christmastide, Arpad L.
