YOUTH Columnist: Rev. Laslo Medyesy CALVIN SYNOD YOUTH CONFERENCE The theme of this year’s conference was “Vacumns.” The emptyness within ourselves and how we can fill this emptyness to lead a full life. From creation to the final judgment; to what the youth can do within the church was also discussed. Everyone at one time or another in his/her life has felt empty and lost. People are still trying to obtain a full life. But what is a full life? For some, it is a job security and a family; for others it could mean freedom, when and where you want something to happen. But for Christians, a full life can only mean one where Christ is present. In Christ, all our needs and wants are taken care of. We have help whenever we need it. “Ask and you will Receive; Seek and you will find; Knock, and the door will be opened unto you.” (Luke 11:9) Before we accept Christ as our personal saviour, our lives can be full of material and wordly things, but even then, there are vacumns inside us that only God can fill. Once we accept Christ, our life then can be filled with the one thing that was missing without our life in Christ. True love. What greater love is there then the love God gave us through the death of His son, Jesus Christ. When we receive Christ, we are then able to share this love with others, and they can return this love. A full life in Christ leaves no vacumns inside us to fill. Our lives are complete and then we can look forward to the time when we will be reunited with Christ. If you aren’t happy with your life as it is now, maybe it’s time to find and fill those vacumns in your life which are keeping you from finding and leading a full meaningful life. Camp again provided a rewarding experience for all of the 128 people that attended. Many new friends were made and many questions were answered. Recreation was also a part of the camp scene as was the annual hike to the “World Famous Indian Caverns.” For those who attended, it will be an experience they’ll never forget. So plan now to return next year, and bring your friends. echoes fill the air with sounds and voices of people i love they are all here and will never leave my memory zsúzsi’ IIIIIIIIII!!llllllil!l!lllllll!llllll|[|!llllllllilllllllllllllllll|]]UIIII]llllllllllllllllll!ll]llllll[[llllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllil!ll[I[llllllllll!l!!lliI!ll!!1ll!i!IIIIHIIIIIIItllIBUll) ATTENTION MINISTERS: PLAN NOW TO ATTEND THE SILVER ANNIVERSARY OF CALVIN SYNOD YOUTH CONFERENCES.
