George Dozsa: The Bethlen Almanac

THE BETHLEN ALMANAC Dear Reader: It is a pleasure to greet you as one of our faithful readers of the Bethlen Almanac. I also wish to greet the first-time readers of our publication. Welcome to ALL! As you know, the Hungarian Reformed Federation of America, through the Bethlen Home, has been serving the ethnic Hungarian community for over 79 years. At first, through its foster home and old age home and now through its nursing home and independent living units. During its first phase of operation between 1921-1978, the Bethlen Home cared for more than 1500 children and more than 3000 elderly brethren. With the new phase of operation starting next year, we are planning to offer to our elderly population a brand new “Total Care Facility” that will provide independent and assistant living and nursing home care. In this issue, just as in the previous ones, we have allocated more space to the activities and work of the Hungarian Reformed Federation of America and the Bethlen Home. We hope that our readers will find the Bethlen Almanac enjoyable and a useful source of information on the HRFA, the Bethlen Home and the Hungarian Reformed congregations in the United States and Canada. George Dózsa, Editor in Chief 1
